Some girls try way too hard...and that's how they end up on the Worst Dressed List. As a general rule of thumb, it's never a good idea to dress for the sole purpose of having your picture taken and circulated (I'm looking at you, Christina DeRosa), nor to forgo pants when you're wearing fishnet stockings (Ms. Marsh). Forgive us our loose interpretation of the word 'starlet,' and enjoy our list of the worst red carpet offenders.

While there's nothing particularly wrong with the way little J dresses, the whole kohl-eyed, thigh-baring, razored hair hipster look got a little tired - especially since she rarely stepped out of the house in anything that wasn't black, white, or gray. A 15-year-old should never look this bored.

Attempts at high fashion (like the Roberto Cavalli dress she wore to the CMAs) were way too old-looking for the teen star, while her age-appropriate outfits are consistently cheesy.

But really, no one should ever wear what Rihanna does. She's very consistent at wearing things that should only exist in one's imagination.

Giorgio Armani (who designed Holmes' wedding gown). Perhaps that's why Katie decided to try her hand at design this year, producing one of the most bizarre silky jumpsuits the flashbulb has ever illuminated.
